Pair your youth group into groups of threes. Have one chair for each group. Give each person a ball of yarn, each one in the group having a different color. They are to take the yarn and for a set time frame, they are to twist and weave the yarn around the legs of the chair. The only rules are no tying knots, and no cutting and restarting your yarn. It must be one continuous string. After a set amount of time (we gave them 5 minutes), tell them to stop. After they were done, we told them to stand, and shift two seats to the left. You can mix them however you choose. You then have them unwind their color of yarn. The first team who unwind their yarn and have it wrapped in a ball wins. We did this during our lock-in…about 2 am. It takes a while, and it keeps them moving.
