Find The Books Of The Bible II

by | All Youth, Bible Study & Prayer

An expansion of find the books of the bible with 37 books instead of 16.

In the following story, there are thirty seven books of the Bible hidden (and some not so hidden). Can you find them all?

Hi, my name is Zechariah Jo Naharahjoe (pronounced Nah-ha-rah-joe.) I once made a remark to my cousin Joshua Joe Loho about the hidden books of the Bible. He passed it on to our cousin Joe Jimmi Cahillamojo who is a big gossip. It spread like wildfire and was a lulu… kept people looking so hard for facts and for others it was a revelation. Some were in a jam, especially since the names of the books were not capitalized, but the truth finally struck home to numbers of readers. To others it was a really difficult job. My uncle, Timothy Joe Obadiahoe, even ask me if he could count nicknames like “Tim” or “Dan”. I eliminated all the nicknames so the answer is “No, Joe!” But still, we want it to be a most fascinating few moments for you. Yes, there will be some really easy ones to spot. In other cases, you may need judges to help you out. Or, you might want to get the whole family involved. I asked for help (and got none) from my cousin Joseph Eugene, sisters Judey Jo and Ezralino Jo, uncle Johnny Joe, and Isaiah Joe, my bro.

“Man should always keep going when the going gets rough” and other clichés like “Keep on keeping on” was about all I got out of the whole family crowd! So don’t give up. I promise that just when your efforts seem the most anemic, a host of new names will start jumping off the page. I will quickly admit it usually takes a minister to find one of them and there will be loud lamentations when it is found. In fact, I have a singing aunt named JoAnna Hummerjo who says she brews a cup of “joe” just so she can concentrate better on the game. You should write your answers on a note pad or, if you’re at the dinner table, try writing them on a napkin or a place mat. The way you keep notes is really up to you.. unless, of course, you’re at the dinner table eating a messy seafood dish such as shrimp, salmon, lobster or crab legs. In that case, the napkin will probably be too dirty to write on. (No yucky fish from Boston or Seattle for me, though… in fact, my nickname is “Land-Ho!” – Seafood is just too slimy for me. Ha, that’s funny! You’d think my nickname would be “Land Joe” instead of “Land Ho”. I prefer a good lean steak or a good lean slice of ham, [ala’ Chicago or Kansas City] over some smelly bottom feeder.) But enough about me… Suppose you’re really good at this game – I mean a real “word-combo-pro!” Verbs, nouns, adjectives and adverbs can all be combined to spell out books of the Bible. You might even find more than thirty seven. At any rate, let’s see how well you can compete. Relax now, for there really are thirty seven names of books in the Bible in this story. ** (One preacher found 36 books in 30 minutes but it took him three weeks to find the 37th)
