Survival Quest

We combined the Survivor craze with the Fear Factor Craze. We had “tribes” that competed against each other and gave the tribe African Shona names (we consulted our missionary from Zimbabwee).

The night consisted of various team challenges that were physical and messy. For instance, tug of war with a tarp filled with pudding and top soil. The culmination of the night was a food challenge. We search local supermarkets and found prepared foods that your typical teenager had probably never tried (prune juice with pulp, one cherry pepper, pickled pigs feet,
sardines, anchovies, and octopus).
The students are still talking about it six months later. It was a great event.
