This game is a keep-away game that only requires some type of towel or cloth. Have youth get in a circle sitting in chairs. One person is “it” and stands in the middle of the circle. The towel is thrown to someone randomly. The students are to pass the towels around and keep the towel from the person in the middle. The towel can also be thrown across to others in the circle. If “it” grabs the towel and the person in the circle has the other end, it becomes “tug of war”. Whoever gets the towel is then “it”. It is also fun for the kids to wrap the towel around another person’s arm, or leg. This makes it harder for the person to keep from being “it”. I played this when I was in my youth group, and as a youth counselor now, and it is always enjoyed by everyone!
