Gotcha!

The game is played in the dark, usually guys against girls. On each side of the room is a chair with an item under it (i.e. a hymnbook). The objective is to get the object under the opposing team’s chair. However, you can’t run into people on the other team. If you do, you must say “Gotcha” first, and the other person is out. Everyone returns to their side of the room, and start over trying for the object.
The other hitch is that it must be played on your hands and knees (this avoids people hurting each other in the dark) There are frequently disputes over who said “Gotcha” first, so it may be helpful to have someone listening for that.
