Box Cut Game

You’ll need: a box (cereal box actually works well) and scissors

Gather the students in a circle. Set a box in the middle of the circle. Each student takes a turn picking up the box — the catch is you have to pick it up with your mouth, and you can’t touch the ground with your knees or hands, and your feet must remain flat on the ground. When everyone in the circle has done this, cut the box so it’s a little smaller. Continue going around the circle, cutting the box lower each time around, until finally it is simply flat on the ground. Each round, those who can’t pick up the box are out. Sounds quite cheesy, but it was so much fun, and the kids had a blast seeing how everyone contorted their bodies to pick up this box. (I’m still amazed at the splits some of the girls — and guys! — did!)
